Five S

There has been a lot of noise where I work, on how 5S will help us become more efficient. As with most buzzwords, what this stands for is simple ( Be organised and keep your workplace neat ). But I think this mostly applies to a factory wherein a worker needs easy and fast access to his tools. A knowledge worker might not really need such a training. But, as with all corporate trainings - people are resources and they need to be trained. Would they ever appreciate the difference between learning and training ?
